I listed France, but I think what you are getting at was songs they played ( and ones they OVERPLAYED ), not necessarily as a composition ( though it helps ).
LLRain, is OK for me in the beginning , not a fav by any means, but what I have little patience for is the later mega cheeae versions .
I just seems like he is forgotten what the words mean . It became like a bad Elvis imitator's parody version . It is almost like he is making fun of the song, his histrionics at the end, are so contrary to the spirit of the song itself, what ever one thinks of it .
Now there are some pretty famous songs that have this same problem: Born ini the USA, instead of the sad story of a Vietnam vet, is performed so pumped up, it sound like he is saying "KILL THE GOOKS!". It's My Party, ...Lesley Gore sounds like someone handed her a million bucks ! hell with her cheating boyfriend !
If I am trying to squeeze a show on to 2 discs, and need something to cut, LLR is a 1st choice , and for later shows , Samba, and Long Way Home join that group of the "easy to edit " .
I am surprised at some folks choices ... "Wharf Rat", "Comes a Time" etc.
Maybe someone will list Dark Star, Scarlet-Fire,...
Different strokes I guess, but man !

LLRain just bothers me the way he sounds all breathy like he's trying to force passion into it or something. "Elvis parody version" kinda sums it up too.

When I see Ripple on here I'll know somebody is either trolling or just hates music.
